LAUNCH MMIS SESSION

Tasks to be completed before worker is able to access MMIS.Rocket launched into space.

  1. Worker's supervisor defines business need for MMIS and approves access.
  2. Permission is requested by agency MMIS liaison.
  3. Worker must be assigned a Security Group and granted permission to access MMIS by DHS MMIS Security Unit.
  4. Mainframe Display icon is installed on worker's computer.
  5. MMIS liaison provides worker with a temporary password.
  6. Worker is now ready to begin using MMIS.

How to launch a MMIS session

  1. desktop mainframe icon Click on MAINFRAME DISPLAY ICON on desktop.
  2. The first OFFICE OF ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY STATE OF MINNESOTA screen displays information about use of the system. When you are finished reading, click HERE to continue.
  3. The second OFFICE OF ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY STATE OF MINNESOTA screen allows worker to choose a desktop configuration.
    • The first time MMIS is used select STANDARD DESKTOP or LAPTOP CONFIGUATION.
    • Select LAUNCH SESSION WITH YOUR SAVED SETTINGS after that.
  4. System launches MMIS mainframe session and displays the STATE OF MN panel.
  5. A second screen is created displaying the Blue Zone logo. This screen may be either closed or left open while using MMIS mainframe session.
